G2 Announce Their Comeback To Valorant

After disbanding their roster on July 7th, no good news came from G2 and it seemed like they were gone from the scene. That was up until they announced their comeback, and this is their roster now.

G2 is a very notable name in Esports, but are yet to prove their stake in Valorant as their last good placement came in 2021. They've not had the best of luck in rosters, and are still figuring out their path to gold. Post-regular season saw them release their players, with no replacement announced which made some rumors about them completely leaving the scene.

G2 Valorant Acquire Former The Guard Roster

The Guard had one of the saddest timelines in the Valorant scene. After winning VCT 2023 Ascension Americas, and securing themselves a two-year stint in the VCT Americas leagues things went south for the North American team. On August 29th it was announced that they will not be participating in the 2024 Americas League, as they failed to meet the deadline to agree to the Team Participation Agreement for VCT Americas.

Not long after, the team released all of its players from their Contracts and the once aspiring Ascension winners went into history. This was more than good news for G2 on the other hand, as they were super hungry for a team with the potential to bring W's to their name. And so, on September 22nd G2 signed neT, valyn, trent, JonahP, JoshRT, and Seowulf to their roster.

G2 Valorant Roster

Their roster isn't finalized yet, as they only have four players in their active one. For now, it's rumored that Jawgemo has been trying out for them for some time and we shouldn't be surprised to see him put pen to paper very soon and sign for them. Here's what their roster looks like right now, topped with the possible signings.

Nathan "leaf" OrfPlayerSlight Chance of Signing

Another name that pops up in the rumors book surrounding G2 is "leaf". About 10 days ago he parted ways with Cloud9 and has reportedly had tryouts with G2 and it seems like the final decision is up on the G2 management. Their number one priority is probably jawgemo, but as he is locked in the EG contract-drama situation, they will probably wait it out and give their final decision to one of the players.

In the meantime, they still have Shahzam as their Content Creator, and if need be they could use his services as a standin until they figure out their fifth-man situation. Shahzeb is still a beast as he has been performing well on his stream and could come in clutch for G2 if the EG situation doesn't get resolved soon.
