Valorant: How To Fix Error Code 58

You've heard this before, and you will hear it now. Valorant players hate two things the most, and they are duelist insta-lockers and error codes. We can't help with the first, but here are a few solutions for the second.

Error Codes are Valorant's way of making the community fix the game faults themselves. By knowing which error is causing your game not to launch, a simple Google search can lead to many solutions from which you can make your game launch in a matter of minutes. If Error Code 58 is troubling your day and is in the way of your Immortal grind, here are a few solutions that will help you.

What Is Valorant Error Code 58

We bet you've seen weird error codes and reasons behind them, but this one will probably blow your mind. The cause behind this error code is an "RSOValidationFailure", and since we know you're super curious about these, so here we go. RSO or Riot Sign On, is the token with which the API requests for logins are made. If you've been logging in with third-party software, there's probably a problem where the API request isn't verified as it should be.

It's basically a safety request access where your security is guaranteed and you can log in using Apple, Google, or whatever else is offered to you without handing over your Riot Account password. Since we know what it is, let's see what we can do to launch our game properly.

How To Fix Valorant Error Code 58

We will cut it short and give you the solution which will probably work the fastest. Try logging in without the third-party software you were usually using, and instead input your Username and Password in the Riot Client. If you've been using Apple or Google because you don't know your password, feel free to reset it as the game will most likely let you in if you just log in with their own authentication service. If you wish to reset your password, simply click on the Reset Password option below the login input fields, enter the instructions, and wait for an e-mail from Riot to change your password.

In case you can't do that, or that doesn't work, here are the other solutions you can try:

Restarting Your Riot Client

The Go-To solution to everything software-related is a restart. In this case, you will need to completely restart the Riot Client by ending every Riot-related process in the task manager processes and then opening the game again. This can also be done with a System restart, but if that's too slow for you just simply open the task manager, look for all of the Riot processes, right-click them, and then click on End Process.

Check If Riot Servers Are Down

Although a very rare occasion, Riot Servers can also cause a lot of Error Codes, this one included. If the servers are down, there's nothing much that you can do but wait for them to be back online. If you want to check whether the Valorant servers are down, check out Valorant Down: How To Check Server Status.

Reinstall Valorant

If none of the solutions above aren't working, the login one included, then you might need to completely Reinstall Valorant as some of the game files might be corrupted or faulty. If you need help with that, we got you covered. Just check out How To Uninstall Valorant, where we have a detailed guide on what you need to do to uninstall Valorant and afterward install it again.

If reinstalling the game didn't do the trick either, then there's something really weird going on with your game. In these cases, the players are instructed to contact Riot Support and explain their issues to them. To send a ticket to Riot Support, open the Valorant Support Hub, and explain your case to them. Their support team will then come back to you via e-mail in 24-48 hours (usually) and they will probably find the solution behind this very weird error.
