One of the biggest Off-Season Tournaments, AfreecaTV VALORANT LEAGUE, is about to kick off. Keep scrolling to learn more about the event, dates and teams.
The AfreecaTV VALORANT LEAGUE (AVL) has the following structure: In the Group Stage, eight teams are split into two groups, using a Double-Elimination format. All matches in this stage are Best of 3 (Bo3). The top two teams from each group move on to the Playoffs.
The Playoffs follow a Single-Elimination bracket, with Semifinals being Bo3 matches. The Grand Final is a Bo5 showdown.
AVL - Dates And Teams
The AVL in South Korea is happening from December 5th to 10th, with 8 teams from different regions invited to compete. The prize pool, to be distributed among the participants, is $80,000.
Among the participating teams are:
- DRX from Korea
- T1 from Korea
- Sentinels from North America
- Team Liquid from EMEA
- Edward Gaming from China
- FULL SENSE from Thailand
- Paper Rex from Singapore and Indonesia
- On Live Fancy United from Vietnam
Looking at the schedule, it seems like PRX vs SEN will kick things off—both strong teams. Paper Rex has been several times in the finals of the biggest international events and now Sen's new roster has a chance to prove themselves against one of the best teams. Also, hopefully, we'll gain more insights into the pANcada vs Zellsis debate within the SEN roster.
Besides that, we're excited to see how Team Liquid performs, especially with the three new faces in their roster. Let's see what plays nAts has in store this time!
