EG is a controversial organization with a history marked by many negative headlines including lawsuits and 'contract hells'. The latest concern revolves around salary cuts for the EG Valorant team. Despite winning the Valorant Champions Tour, the players experienced salary reductions, reportedly due to financial challenges within the organization.

What's Next For Evil Geniuses?

Yesterday, it was announced that the number of North American League of Legends teams will be reduced from 10 to 8 in 2024. The mutual decision has been made for both Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses to exit.

Now, there is a growing stream of news indicating that EG are planning to completely withdraw from esports.

Additionally, there is much external criticism regarding the current situation of contracts within the organization.

This would now mean that the VCT Americas League will consist of only 10 teams instead of 11. The question then arises whether Riot will maintain it at 10 teams or add an 11th team, as the VCT Leagues in other regions also feature 11 teams.

And What Will Happen To EG's Valorant Roster?

Now, once their contracts end or if they manage to get out of the 'contract jail', Demon1 and Ethan are probably heading to NRG, while Boostio is likely to secure a spot with 100 Thieves. However, it's still unclear where jawgemo and C0M might go.
