Valorant's constant name changes have sparked a fun naming trend. Every Valorant player has encountered the bronze "I miss her"-Jetts, swift enough to wipe you out in a blink. Then there are the cringe-worthy e-couple names like "His Donut" and "Her Glaze" that somehow manage to mess up your game. (We won't even mention the cringier ones—trust us, it gets wild)

Starting November 20, Riot IDs Can Only Be Changed Every 3 Months

Originally, Riot planned a change for Riot IDs, allowing a free change only once a year, with a $10 fee for additional changes starting November 20. However, they've updated it—now, you can make a free change every 90 days instead of monthly, and the fee has been completely removed. The initial intention was to form a stronger connection with your in-game identity across Riot titles.

Take note, League of Legends players: Riot is swapping out Summoner Names for Riot IDs, citing that the current Summoner Names no longer match the game's lore. What could be the reason for the sudden change? Concerns within the community highlight potential downsides. Esports players may skip adding team names due to limitations, losing a part of their identity. Additionally, these changes could dampen the fun, limiting players' creativity with amusing names.

As a response to these concerns, Riot may have decided to reconsider and allow more frequent free Riot ID changes, while also aiming to project a player-friendly approach rather than coming across as profit-driven.
